whats it take ...say a triple bravo set up or twin # 6 set up

if memory serves correctly..I thought reggie had around 1200 per side in the old ohio steel 42 when he set it at 123.....remember the triple scarab vs fountain twin wars of the 90's

A stripped down 40 (same boat no platform) can do it with a little under 900 per side, 5's and boxes.

I think a dry sump SSM6 uses even less power than a SSM5

The dry sump 6 would be way more efficient than the 5. And the boat I'm talking about was older, heavier. Use a 42 built later and it should be lighter.

the one that sat at boats unlimited for about 6 years...and was docked in across the cove from ledges condo's for years....42 signature trip 502...

I dont think the red center steer boat had 6's i think it had 4's or 5's if you are talking about the one jim roth owned at about the 5.5 mm on the main channel

I think the one on grand came from texoma and was a ross perot boat.....that is a very week memory on that story at best...think it had big ford motors in it at one point..???

    That's right.

What is the story with that boat? Why did it sit at BU for so long? If I remember correctly, I didn't think it was priced to bad.

Man, I don't have a single picture of it for some reason. It's been stored away for a few years, which began right after the last updates were done. "P Offshore" is Erik, the owners screen name. Hopefully he'll chime in.
