My boat likes a lot of cup on the tips. I have twice the cup as a Mirage plus. The slip numbers are a lot higher with the standard Mirage.

Got ya. Every boat is different and my boat loves the Mirage at WFO. It actually slips less than the Mirage Plus(like 7%) but it definitely slips a lot more at cruise.

    BTW, love the Ram-air post!!!

Thanks, by the way it worked. Only about 1 or 2 MPH but that is huge for me.
I am trying a Hydromotive 4 blade 23p this weekend. I borrowed it from a freind I will let everyone know how it works.

Some people spend a lot of money on motor mods for 1-2 mph!

If the Hydro isn't an X it will need A LOT of trim to get bow lift. They lift the stern quite a bit and ride flat. Some boats really like them though.

I tried the same prop about 4 years ago. That was with before I raised the x dim and with less HP. Back then it would not lift the bow enough to get any speed, it ran real flat. Well now with the raised x the boat runs flater and faster and I may not need the bow lift of the Mirage. Never know until you try it.

Yep! I NEVER pass up an opportunity to try a prop!

FYI - The best 4-blade I have tried to date is the Rev4. Just as fast as a Mirage Plus with great bow lift, awesome handling and a strong mid-range bite.

Denny, start a thread specific to your problem and we will all give input. Some of the pro's will give a little input also.

OK, here are the results of the Hydro 23p. I could only pull it to 5300 RPM @70MPH, I could pull more RPM but it would loose speed. Prop slip was good at only 9%. Overall it felt good, it planed of better than the Mirage, but at least 2MPH slower given the heat. If I did a lot of skiing and tubing and made a lot of turns this prop would work. Probably a better prop for stepped hulls given that a lot of Fountains run these props. I may try a Bravo prop next just have to find the right timing to borrow one.

I have tried Mirage 23 and 25 both three blades.

    I tried bravo 27 4 blades.

    I tried bravo 32 4 blades.

I am running Mach 1 24 4 blades they seem to be the best.

I hit 4000 rpm and they spin....

bblades also has a test program you might want to inquire about. The test program worked pretty good for me.
