I have been redoing my MYCO. Trailer.. It is an '85 and has been repainted a time or two already. I am doing a total overhaul. Brake plates, rollers, lights, new fenders, updated bow stop, storage box, bunks, and paint.

    Here are a couple before.

The fenders going on. The step plates at either end were fabricated in advance.

It is going to be painted with epoxy primer and Black poly urethane. Power tongue jack and LED lights. I even got the full decal kit from Myco. Will start painting this week some time.

Trailer sat all week. Put it back up on blocks last night. Sanded and cleaned all day today. Will be spraying tomorrow. I would have never guessed it would take as long as it did to prep. Will share more pix tomorrow late.

I was just watching the news and it seems you need to shovel your walk before heading to the shop to spray??? It's raining here in your old neck of the woods and we are supppose to get a few inches of snow this afternoon...

Cool Project.... see you soon Jim

Thanks guys. My buddy Robert has been working his but off. Today we did the near final preps, sprayed primer on the entire trailer and double coated all inside and lower surfaces. The plan is to tape off the inside, detail a few spots on fenders and outside rails and spray in a couple days.

These pix are just before priming. My battery went dead and could not take any after paint. Will follow up with more later.

I had Myco fabricate the spare tire hanger. They also engineered and fabricated the new style bow stop to fit. Their customer support is great. They promptly delivered my order.

Looks like it's com'n along great.
Why the change in the bow stop?
Better design or wasn't the trailer originaly built for the boat?

The old one fit. I got a little carried away. The old style is dated and doesn't offer much protection if using a bad ramp. If you miss you get a rash. The new style offers a wider target.

I missed with the new style, catching the edge of the bracket on the outside edge of the block with the V.
    That one left a mark

Ouch. Nothing is fool proof. I have been lucky so far. I hope it works out to be worth it.

Lori was guiding me on in the dark. The docking lights were blinding her so I turned them off. With the parking lot lights behind her, all I could see was the silhouette of her hands over the top of the bow. As she was waving me on she turned her hands in a push gesture to back off with out crossing them first as a cut signal. Looked like she was still motioning me on and I gave the last nudge....ouch.

    We now have new signals

I try to keep the trailer on the shallow side to center it up. Then back it in a little further before pushing it all the way up. A variety of ramps, returning in the dark and occasional impatience test good judgment.
