Anyone know why or how the boat company was named APACHE ? Did someone have a interest in indian or Apache indian history ?

11-03-2009 12:58 PMI never asked Bobby but I would assume it's because Apache's were the most fierce warriors... Bobby Also designed the Apache nickel head, it was a modified Indian Head Nickel. Jack Kramer helped Bobby get the original trademark for it....
What's interesting is the Apache indians were screwed by the US government....they may have the same feelings for the boat company...

11-04-2009 05:25 PMFolks, I talked to bobby, I had some of my info wrong on the nickle. It was actually the $5 indian head coin that Bobby used for the Apache logo. Gail also did the lettering on the logo.
Also confirmed why Apache was the name.... My guess was correct for the most part but there's a lot more to it and it goes back to the Kilpatrick days when Bobby built the Squadron named Apache. All of this was before Kramer.
