    That's MF awesome!

I stumbled across a place in OKC the other day right off the interstate. They sell classic Ford, Chevy, and Racing parts. They have a small showroom in the middle with a 1990 ZR1 Corvette that has NEVER been driven except for factory test miles. Amazing.

Read an columnist's article about the early ZR-1's..... too many were made and preserved so the values didn't hold up. The other issue was that subsequent stock Corvettes put out more HP. THe 08/09 base Corvette put out more HP than the entire ZR-1 line-up and all of the earlier Z-06's. What made the older Corvettes so valuable was that the late 60's/very early 70's cars put out HP numbers that the newer cars (late 70's, all of the 80's) couldn't beat. Most of the older cars were driven so when you found a mint one you had to pay all the money to get it. I believe Keith Martin or Dutch Mandel wrote the column......his comment was be like Reggie Jackson, never buy a car for it's potential appreciation, buy it because you like it and if it goes up great if not you atleast got to enjoy it.

I know exactly where you are talking about - I had to turn around and go back just to take a look.
