The hatch was inadvertantly left unlatched, and we chose not to tape it down cause the paint is fresh, we have made it a point to triple check that for Friday. Also we had a steering line fail causing the boat to lose steering completely. Both problems have been tended to and we look forward to a great day of racing on Friday.

You guy's did an unbelieveable job of building that boat in a short period of time. It does take alot of time to dial in a new race boat and get the gremlins out , been there and done that. Good luck!

Sometimes what's in my head doesn't make it into a post correctly. I wasn't complaining or trying to point out any flaws with the boat. The boat looked and ran awesome. It was my picture that sucked and the hatch made it look like the pic was somehow altered. I was just trying to explain the pic quality.

Really looking forward to stopping by the pits and seeing this incredible boat up close and in person.

How were they doing prior to the gremlins?

The boat accelerates hard and they were well in the lead for the first lap or 2 before the grmlins came in. We have adressed the issue and will test today.

What class is this boat in? I thought it was in the class with Panasonic/Cat Killer, Saratoga Stampeded and Hard Rock. I guess I am wrong because those 3 boats were ahead of the outerlimits all day.

Outerlimits is in the Super Vee unlimited class not Vee Xtreme. Panasonic and Stampede are in a class by themselves. Hard Rock, Fountain World Wide, and the Outerlimits are all in the same class. There was supposed to be the Davis Phantom, Miccosukee Fountain, and Rockstar Skater as well. Dont know where those boats are. Belive me the Outerlimits will be ahead of all these boats once all sorted out. They were in the lead at the beginning yesterday until the hatch problem then steering problem. Everything has been sorted out and they are ready for some testing in the new boat today.

Is that why they're running the 510's?

Correct. Specifically built the motors for this class.

One of the things missing IMHO- little smack talking and competition between the competitors!

Some say smack talking is like talking down to someone; to me that is not the case. Just because you want to be in first place doesn't mean you want the other guy to finish; you just want them to finish behind you!

Thanks again for sharing this project!!

Wasn't there some talk about special guests running the boat? Race day is tomorrow- spill it!!

The distinction between the classes is kind of silly.. I think Extreme and Unlimited should all run together. Or no superchargers in Unlimited.

But it is what it is.

The most dependable will be the winner.
