    Pops,

Dick Smith and I own the Wolverine. It's had a 2+ year full restoration. Would like to offer an invite to you to come see the boat if you ever make it into the Detroit area and take a ride if you can make it in the boating season here. Call me anytime and I would be happy to tell you all we have done with the old 9mss.

I can't recall many others in that size that had full staggers.

There were [ 4 ] 29' Mirage race boats from Lake St Clair back in the day. WOLVERINE, Lil Rhino, The Hawk & Silver Streak that had full staggered engines.

That is just awesome. I's love to test two identical boats, one with full stagger and one side-by-side back to back someday on a course for time comparisons....

It was done [ sort of ] back in 1977 when APBA let the HAWK Mirage race [ reluctantly ] in the P [stock 280 trs package ] the Magnums with side by side engines sill were faster. Back then I believe the HAWK Mirage was the only staggered boat in the stock P class as it caused much controversy in that class. I would love to find out where that Mirage went.........

I have access to a side by side version of this boat. Let me know when we can get a staggered one to do a comparison. That would be really cool!

We'll have to figure it out for a full blown comparison. What other boats would have both options and be out there? The 35 Fountain for sure.
