    I installed new oil cooler do I need to prime before starting ? or will the oil pump fill it?

    While the oil pump is filling all those lines with oil, it's feeding air to your bearings. Pull the dirstributor and run the pre-luber. Plusd you get the added benefit of doing a lea check.

    It is also easy to just fill your cooler up to your thermostat (before you prime), Heck you can even prefill your lines.

    Both engines have been started, run in , Changed oil, fillters and charged filters, just installed new coolers..Motors are in the boat.
