Yeah, just figures, I move to town, and it rains in the desert with Hi-temps that are chilly.
Although, everyone I talked to today told me to "enjoy" the rain, because you aren't going to see it again for a few months...

Growing up my a few of my aunts and uncles lived in Las Vegas, so my parents would drive from Cleveland to Vegas and back. As we grew up, we would pull a trailer and take 2 weeks to go out there and back. I did that trip in a car 6 or 7 times.

There is so much to see and our country is very beautiful. While flying is the way I go now, I love that my parents took us on those types of vacations. We would have no plans and when we wanted to stop and see something, we stopped. We would take the southern route out and the northern route back.

They are memories I will always cherish.

Glad you guys got there safe Tim.

oh yeah, now that you live in the heat just a few tips

don't leave your tools out in the sun, in ten minutes your hammer/wrench or pliers will brand the company name in your hand

get a sunshade for your vehicles, or the dash will be gone in a year
    I'll remember some more later

    wow, still unemployed.
went through three interviews and the pee test, and they chose someone else.
Thought I had this one locked down.
Musta been the $$ amount I was asking for.
    The interviews went great.
I really didn't want the job (hours would have sucked), but I need something right now.
    The search goes on.

I know that there was a tool expense.... but I have never been sorry to own the tools I have had from the trades I have done. Power tools, hand tools. ladders, whatever.

I already threw something out there for the construction gig, and haven't heard anything.
Found something yesterday working for the county that I put in for.
County Housing Authority, working in purchasing/procurement.
But, that will probably take 3-4 weeks before they even start interviewing.
Pay was pretty good, and I imagine it would mean normal work hours, and the benefit of all the Gov't holidays...
