01-22-2010 06:19 PMThe flat-deck handles better at high speeds. The cross section to the wind, and the center-of-gravity being lower are the main differences there. Also a little less weight. The raised deck has 6'10" of headroom at the back of the cabin, tapering to right at 6' at the foot of the bed. My wife is 5'11" and can walk all the way forward and not bump her head. The flat deck is a little less than 6' I believe.
Steve David had his for a few years and regularly took it to the Bahamas in some of the roughest stuff the Stream would throw....Getting bad advice is unfortunate, taking bad advice is a Serious matter!!

That is the overall difference. Sax or Ratickle could chime in on what other differences there are

01-24-2010 07:21 PMRaised meaning like the standard V berth in any other performance hull where you crawl up into the sleeping area where as on the BT you just lay "down". Here's a link to the one I saw with the "raised". I assume this is a flat deck

Chris, I just saw yours in OSO classifieds. I love the 500 EFI's, boats out of my budget though. Story of my lifeLast edited by wet_rat; 01-24-2010 at 07:53 PM.

01-25-2010 03:05 PMHere's what I mean. This is the cabin/V berth in a xt-430 that BJ marine has. This has the "raised" V berth I am speaking of. Trying to figure out how Bob determined which hulls got the raised or the standard we are accustom to seeing.
