Scalp Hunter Apache Project Moving Forward
    #1
Nobody involved with the complete update of the 1987 41-foot Apache Powerboats Scalp Hunter is calling the project “work” even though in actuality it has required a ton of labor and effort to get to this point.

    The graphic shows trips.

The story on the other hand: "Imhof said the boat is going to feature twin JC Performance engines that have been completely refreshed. Of course it will include a top-notch audio systems from Waves and Wheels when all is said and done."
Maybe it will feature a third JC Performance engine that was incompletely refreshed. That would make a total of three.

It's my understanding that if you put 24 inch wheels and a loud stereo on a 3/4 ton SUV, it tows and stops much better than the original 6,000-11,000 capacity.

Is it one of those 3/4 ton pickups converted over?

Depends on how bad-ass you want to be. Trips are cool, if breakage and money don't matter.

Its not clear to me whats actually happening. Rendering shows three drives and two sets of pipes and text claims its getting new twin engines. Was it built as a triple?

I agree with Bobcat triples are passe, but I believe restoring an iconic boat is better then butchering it any day.

Yep, it's nicer to restore a classic than bring it completely up to what people view as the fad of the times.

If they did that, they'd strap about 4 outboards to it....
