We had the icestorm come through, worse east of us for ice, we only had a half inch at our house.
We have power, but the sis-in-law and niece and nephew they are saying will be without power until Friday over in Hastings. So, we are packing up electrical wire and outlets, generator, gas, propane for the grill, etc etc and heading out in a friggin snow storm (supposed to get 6 to 8 today) to try and get the niece up and going. They have a 1 and a 3 year old. No furnace, water, etc.
Sis-in-law is running their generator, but can't get out of their driveway cause of power lines down across it where the road is at.
Should be a fun drive!
How's your weather?

Eastern Canada got hit with the ice storm as well. Hope your family gets some relief from your efforts. My weather is much nicer little rain and melting slushy snow on the ground.

I love the stuff, can't wait to move all the cars in the lot and plow them again for the 15th time. It is good for the cars to start up and move, and gets me out of the office. If I was in Florida my wife would make me go to the beach.

12-27-2013 09:55 AMOh yeah, since you have so much fun, come down and do mine. Not even cars to move out of the way, a piece of cake!

Nearly 90 % of Barry county lost power.
We moved my Mom in our house for a few days.
My brother lives down there too and left for Florida right after the outages.
Glad it is over and hope for an early spring !!!!

I will never understand why people live in the frozen north and complain about it. Move south or quit your whining!
If you find yourself in a fair fight, your tactics suck!

01-04-2014 03:46 PMHere is the main reason people go to Florida or Arizona in the winter though. (You notice I didn't say Texas?).
