It sounds like the guy did the maintenance on the motors but an engine oil anyalis would be a must before I would consider any boat. Thank's for the replies.

I'm looking at a non-performance boat that has 454's with 700 hours on them. Sounds to me like they are ready for a rebuild. What does everyone think?

For the scoop intakes they cut 4" holes in the race hatches. He said the scoops could be easily removed...
