I talked to BT owner that has 2006 46 with twin 525s 330 hours, no work done on drives other than oil changes
he starts on plain easy and is a smart...

I would check gear ratio in drives first, could have been changed
with 28 pitch props and twin 600 hp at the prop shaft top speed will be in mid 70s at 5400 rpm, depending on fuel, how many people...

drw truck is always better, especially if new to pulling 75' long 24,000 total weight.

with single rear wheel truck you can get a side to side sway at times which can be a challenge to handle

I have tried taking off with tabs down, didn't seem to help much. I would keep them above neutral for best results
