I think that many of the boat builder to engine links are so old there are relatives in each of the companys these days.

Its makes me smile that an equivalent sized racing yacht has more technology spent on it than a race boat and the yacht guys quite often bin the boat after each season as technolgy has moved forward...

Has anyone ever done any FEA work on this, surely SP for someone could design a layup if you said I would like to drop my boat on its head at 150mph from 20 feet up?

when you bag a laminate on to a honeycomb core how to you keep it flat and not go down every hole?

I have seen an example of this but via FEA from SP and it removed and shifted bulkheads and changed the layup schedule.

So when is Ilmor bringing out their Bishop rotary valve heads for the V10 and make that 32 poppet valve engine look a bit old fashioned???

I'm looking at finding a supply of something like that ,like 13' Critchfields etc.
Do you have a line on them?
I would run sst 60's on them.
