Yes.. they will swap over.. but you will have to reshim it for proper lash and pinion ht.

I just ran out to the shop.. never measured it.. But it looks to be 21.5", best I can tell with the tape measure.

The XZ gears are the thick floored gears and the input shaft is the same size as the XR, (splines on the yoke are larger). The teeth on the gears are the same between the Bravo HP and the XZ..

Friend of mine was doing that, slice and dice I dont remember if he cut the shaft or replaced it. But you had to cut the caviation plate and put a step in it. The Imco cases are nicely done these...

when you buy an Imco case it comes with the shaft, standard, -1, or -2". The Imco shaft is a much better shaft than the merc stuff anyway.

No Matt, there is no provision for the speedo. That port on the lower is used to supply water to the upper on the Imco SC drive.. If you hooked your speedo to it.. it would show you are going real...

Here is what the XR gear looks like inside. That cavity goes all the way around the gear. That must be where it is welded together and it is a weak point..
