What are the results of the compression test?
What happens when you remove one spark plug wire at a time while it is running?
How do the air injectors look?
What color is the bass boat?
Shouldn't color be the most important thing?
For Mobilemercman to help, he is gonna have to know the year. If you have no idea, get the serial number and we'll find the year and model from that. Plus, what you have checked so far.
Fuel issue. Look for a kinked hose, or a bad Diaphragm.
But we all know Pearl is even faster than Metal Flake!!!
Yeah, but flame is the fastest.
Scallops in there somewhere, pinstripes too
Any more info?
Well, we would have tried with more info.
But, we did have some fun...…
And pearl flames with metalflake highlights are definitely the fastest......
But a lot of us are cheap.:sifone:
Besides, one of our key missions is to help people afford high performance boats. (Kind of an oxymoron for much of the population).
However, you point out an interesting possibility. Our Good, Bad and Ugly could certainly include a list of those our members trust to do a good job at a fair price. Places like TNT, Mobilemercman, Glass Dave, Bblades, etc.
Thoughts?
This is kind of a major hijack!:sifone:
We excel at helping people diagnose and repair all manner of problems. Between us, we have seen it all. But they have to participate. When they don't, they will get better results simply having a good mechanic do it for them and they will save time and money in the long run rather than throwing parts at it. If they are not at the level (or willing) to try basic diagnostic tests and give feedback, we can't help them and it is discouraging and makes us less likely to waste our time trying to help the next guy.
:)
Oh, I know.
But, I remember the a-holes at that other place who treated people like crap because they only had an old Wellcraft that they wanted help and advice trying to put a bigger engine in.
What do you think about a list of endorsed vendors?
Rat says major hijack.
Back to original question. Mercury has been making 150's since at least the '70's. In line 6, V6, V6 EFI, V6 DFI, and now 4 strokes.
