Whats your boat weight?
BOAT IS 4000PD TWO WEEKS AGO IT DID 80.4 MPH WITH 600HP
Pretty fast for that hull. Becareful.
Nice job. Be careful with all that pushing a 24'.
I've seen test showing how much hp to push a boat 1 mph, and it seem to always adds up to 20 hp for 1 mph. which would increase your by 5 mph. my guess would now be 85mph
Bob, I would think 85 or so. Raising your x would make a huge difference in speed and handling. I would be a little nervous running that fast trimed up with the stock drive height. My boat is more stable now at 74 that when I ran 68 with the stock x.
Also, what drive are you running. You are pushing your luck with the Bravo.
Bob , seeing that you are running 700 HP you are going to have to change your screen name to bajabob 700 and drop the 600 ;)
I had the same boat to 91 gps with me and a buddy in it with more throttle left. My engine made 711hp on the dyno. The X dimension on my boat was raised 3 1/2"s, all of the wood was replaced with coosa, and the cuddy was stripped so it quite a bit lighter than stock. The boat is running 75+ with a stock 502 mag now so the weight savings made a difference.
ya i am runnig a136drive with a 25mirage with the last motor
http://www.youtube.com/user/SuperBaj.../0/XKQj2fy91BU here my boat runnig at the dock
i see 85-86ish in my 24 running what whipple says is 650hp with a 4 inch raised x, extension box, and 2 inch shorty running a labbed 32p 5 blade
wow that great did the 4in lift help alot?did you try your boat with out the 4in ? and if you did wt speed did you get out of it . i am still tested and like to go in the rigth direction:cheers2:
i bought the boat as is the previous owner said that with the old motor a procharged 502 with a stock bravo 1 stock x dimension and single ram steering said it was low to mid 70s and was fairly unstable
