burrie speedo 80mph putting trim tabs on 12 by 24in dail the carb and put a new prop boat is runnig good !!runnig a lot of boats on delaware river having a lot of fun
I have had mine to 82.3 on gps so far. That's it for me until I get the external and tabs put on. I have alot more throttle left and another 1100 rpm's. Just an old 240 sport with a 3" raised X dimension, a few extra bulkheads, and no wood except the transom. ;)
496 HO's and I've hit 71 GPS. I was hoping for a little more out of it, but I've never had less than a half a tank of fuel in it so that may make a bit of a difference. We will see at the end of the season.
I raised the outdrive. If I remember right I am I am at 18.25". It still hops right on plane even without tabs and a 30" prop. It is a different boat with the raised X, it rides much better. It will blow out occasionally on slow hard turns if I don't tuck the drive all of the way in but other than that it is all positve.
I have a 236 Baja 489 stroker 500HP, 70 MPH GPS. Raising the x this year and hoping for 76.
Just finished install of 540 horse 502s, boat ran 69 GPS with HP400s. Should run mid to high 70s. Have to wait until we are done with snow storms to find out. Think Spring!
Just an old slug with 1000 hr 454 mags. 68.9 on gps
71-73 along side of a hustler with gps. not for sure but we seemed to be in tandem. Will get better numbers with my Marine Kinetics Engine!
64 GPS. 496 Mag bone stock (except some new SS cup holders that I just put in as well as the new tune machine that screams!! :willy_nilly:).
fastest speed was 1st time out ( no gear or gas ) going down stream on a cold april morning
hit 61.2 not bad for a 13500lb boat with bottom paint, normal summer TS is 57mph
she has triple 454/330hp, nothing special...
Your boat with 500HP should run 70-71 MPH. I gained 5MPH with one of Bobs cams but I went from a Crane flat tappet cam. Since you already had a roller I would think a 3-4 MPH gain would be expected. Depends on what you told him you wanted to do. Get a GPS and see what she does!!!
78 on gps. '92 270, built 502
Very squirrely ride! Had some rpm's left, but not the 'nads.
I no longer own the boat, but thought the vid was appropriate. 1990 210 ESS with a fairly nasty NA 496. Best top end I ever saw was 98.6. Put the boat back to stock before selling.:driving:
