stainless swim plateform?

I was thinking about building a stainless swim platform for each side of the transom, Probably use 1 inch tubing, but how thick of Stainless should i use. Each platform will be about 24 inches by 20 with 2 supports on the lower side and maybe an inch or so spacing between the tubes.

don't know the answer to your question, but it sounds like it will be pretty

16ga tubing should be sufficient but you may want to go bigger than 1" so it is easier on your feet
