Sunsation Powerboats is Newest Offering from Shogren Performance Marine
New Year Brings New Boat Line for Mid-West's Premier High-Performance Dealer
The New Year brings a new boat line from Shogren Performance Marine, which announces the addition of Sunsation Powerboats, the second new line in as many months for the Midwest's premier high-performance dealership.
"Sunsation Powerboats focuses on being good at what they do and they don't try to be everything to everybody," said Shogren Performance Marine owner Scott Shogren, who cites the parallels between the two companies as a key factor in adding the line. "Like us, Sunsation is based in the mid-West, concentrates on a small, niche portion of the market and is known for high-quality customer service and boats," Shogren said.
Sunsation Powerboats, based in Algonac, Michigan, offers five models of vee-bottom boats from 28 to 43 feet. Vice President Joe Schaldenbrand said teaming with Shogren Performance Marine is a "good match" because of its reputation as a "respectable sales and service organization." Schaldenbrand says a key to the company's success has been its customer service. "The truth is there aren't a lot of dealers who can service our larger product. Team Shogren is one of a few dealers certified to service Mercury Racing engines over 600 horsepower as well as the NXT1 and Six Drives. We need to be sure our dealers can service our product."
Located in Waukegan, Illinois, Shogren Performance Marine has been and continues to be "The World's Largest Fountain Dealer," a title it has held for the past five years. In addition to Sunsation, Shogren recently added Nor-Tech High-Performance Boats, a leading brand of vee-bottom and catamarans.
Shogren said he is impressed with Sunsation's 20-year record of success. "They are doing things the right way," he notes, and "Besides, Sunsation customers LOVE their boats!"
Shogren Performance Marine, which experienced record Fountain sales during 2009 despite a down economy and depressed marine market, is taking steps to be properly positioned when the economy recovers. According to Shogren, "Adding new boat lines is the right move at the right time."
