Thanks for the info.......
On the wrap, you said he designed it? How? On some software system?

Thanks for the tip. I bought all kinds of 3m stuff. I bought the Hutchson water bug wet palm sander. Then bought a whole bunch of different grit pads. I have done some areas by hand and had to go down to 600 and then up. The spots look better but still could use a little more. It is going to be a big job.
The Dash is nice!
Not sure how he designed the wrap but I will find out.
Your welcome. Try using the presta super cut compound. Its rated to take out 600 grit scratches. Yes its a big job! But worth it.
1979 Formula 255 Liberator...about 85% restored

It originally had twin 260 Pre Alpha Mercs. Upgrading to twin 400 plus Horse Vortec Roller Cam Motors with Bravo I drives. I am getting close to finishing. These boats were produced by Formula from '76~'82. Most came with twin 260's...several were built with twin 330/TRS and by special order could be had with twin 420 Horse/TRS.
These were marketed as "Liberators" thru '81 with the '82 model being marketed as 255 LS with available cut down windshield and drop our bolsters. These boats compare closely to the 272 and weigh about 200# less. They have the "Transom Bump" like the old 233 and F-26 did and have about 12" more free board at the chine/transom than a 272 or 302 has.
This pic is from the 1982 Formula Brochure.

These are becoming rare as time passes and mark the milestone as Formula's first entry into the Sport Boat Market. These things are "Wave Crushers" and perform best in rough water.
There is a lot of freeboard on the 255s; so much so that one of the 255 models had a flush deck sole.
Cool

Heres one of mine (thinking of sellin it)
Looking real good. They were a well behaved hull......
Welcome aboard!! The 272's may be one of the best rough water 27's ever built. My neighbor has one. What power?
Formula's are timeless.
