KEY LARGO, FLA. (WSVN) - One person has been airlifted to the hospital after a boating accident in Monroe County, Wednesday.
Officials responded to the scene, just north of Key Largo.
A Miami-Dade Fire Rescue truck could be seen responding to the scene.
It is unclear if there were any other people on the boat or if there were any other injuries.
It is unknown what condition the person who was airlifted was in.
I have not received any first hand updates on Joe. The latest I have, he was out of critical condition, had a broken pelvis, but nothing else. If anybody has first hand information we would all appreciate it.
It is really too bad to have two brand new boats spin out or flip in one poker run event.
And we will all miss Joe Sgro every time we get together at any high performance boat event.
