Watt-Ahh Sponsors REDS Offshore Racing Ahead of 31st Annual Superboat Grand Prix

(Sarasota, FL.) – Sarasota powerboat team, REDS Offshore Racing, is ready for high performance racing at the 31st Annual Superboat Grand Prix this year. Sports fans of all ages will be lining Lido Beach on Saturday, July 4, 2015.

“We are coming back to race July 4th,” said Rob Gourley, co-owner of Team REDS. “It has been a long haul for us after the crew dismantled a busted engine, chased after specialty parts for months and reinstalled the new engine – rebuilt on the same block at least twice. I guess we are living up to our reputation of either being a bunch of Florida Gearheads who never give up, or we are not smart enough to know when to give up!” That same tenacity helped the Team win the 2010 World Championship (Class P-3) against the Deadliest Catch race boat, held in Key West, FL.

Gourley expressed his appreciation to returning sponsors: Morton’s Gourmet Market, Best Western Plus Siesta Key Gateway, Suncoast Motorsports and AquaNew’s Watt-Ahh® bottled water. Without these corporate sponsors and support from friends and family, Gourley said the crew could neither get the boat nor the Team race-ready.

The REDS/Watt-Ahh race boat will be on display during Sarasota Race Week at the following locations and dates:
•Saturday, June 27, 2015: Manatee River Harley Davidson, 624 67th Street Circle East, Bradenton, FL., northwestern quadrant of I-75 and S.R. 64 (Exit 220), 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
•Friday, July 3, 2015: Main Street Parade, Downtown Sarasota, After 6 p.m.
•Saturday, July 4, 2015: Race Village, 12th Street (near Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall), Sarasota, FL.
