Do they make them that you can leave on and run? or do they have to be removed? my boat sits in a highly visible area, so I need something.

Most just replace the nut with a keyed one. Leave 'em on & run 'em.

Order these while you're at it-

I use both of the McGard products (prop and stern locks). They work great and the only time I take them off is to drain the drive oil (since I have to). Never had a problem with them, but remember to use the proper / recommended washer configuration.

Also ck the nut tightness after a few runs, mine has loosened before:(

Remember there easy to cut thru ,carbide bit slices thru the stainless collar, then cut into the brass nut, hammer a socket on nut and unsrew, took me less that 30min, that was going slow to not mess up the shaft:bigear:its only a deterrent, but the best we got out there.

When ya order them order some extra black caps, the fall off pretty easy

Of course the plan is yes. Final development is being worked on as well as some color options.

I have the Mcguards as well. Like strip said they are better than nothing, but not by much. I took one off on a buddies boat (lost key) in under 10 minutes. Drive 2 scew dirvers inbetween the collar and the nut and turn it with a crescent wrench.
