Powerboat P1 has confirmed a new broadcast partnership with MavTV to air the 2009 Powerboat P1 World Championship season races.

Starting in September, MavTV will air the full Powerboat P1 2009 season including the season preview and review programs, with the highlights of the World Championship Evolution and SuperSport classes. Each show will air a minimum of four times, ensuring widespread coverage.

According to Powerboat P1 Commercial Director, Robert Wicks, "We are delighted to have this partnership with MavTV--with America being such a significant powerboating market. As the appeal of Powerboat P1 continues to gather momentum, and we see a period of sustained growth in the worldwide TV audience and the number of dedicated P1 broadcasters, it's good to know that the World Championship is getting into more US homes this season."

Launched in October 2004, MavTV is a 24-hour digital television network; it targets men age 18-54, providing over 7 million homes in 75 markets, as well as a national audience through DISH Network, with a testosterone-laden blend of sports, movies, comedy, gambling, business news, lifestyle information, gadgets and adventure.

MavTV's Senior Vice President of Programming and Advertising, Rob Stevens, says Powerboat P1 is well suited to the networks existing lineup. I know our viewers will appreciate the fantastic exotic locations around the globe where the P1 races originate, and it'll all look even more fantastic in MavTV's high definition."
