The boat ran. Someone didn't do their homework, and I don't believe it was the builder.

You take a 50' boat from a builder that's known for very heavy open-ocean layups, then you start to add... 3' of bustle on the back, radar arch, tons of options, etc, etc. Each piece increases the weight. If you forget to add power each time, you gotta figure it's going to slow down.

But the single biggest telling factor in this story is the boat's replacement. Outerlimits. A guy goes from the heaviest to the lightest in one jump? Makes me wonder if they did ANY research or gave any consideration to what they wanted in a boat or if they bought the first big, shiny thing they saw.

you have to figure they were probably getting their news from TASS, so the eighties is still fresh news to the masses in Russia.

Nope Russians don´t read news or anything they just get what they wan´t.... or try at least and sometimes even succeeds but mostly they are a bunch of F-U´s.
Thats how they are mainly. But the Academics excell.
We´ve been fighting them off for more than 800 yrs we know a thing or two how they work as we´re still independent.

Please don´t get me started on the matter. Just another sucker with more money than brains.
And there´s one born every minute...

1. Rule
You never bargain with russians. You just aim at them.
2. Rule
Look straight in their eyes, thru your sights , always.

These are all I know of. I'm sure there are more. Can't think of any reason to cut it up though. I think it cost over a Mill.

All I know is that had to be a big tube of super glue they used to put it back together after it was sawed apart!!!! If the swim platform or what ever you call the big hunk of fiberglass hanging off the back and the arch were not there and it had trick paint the boat would look a whole lot different.
