Thanks for informing me about this site, I have owned boats for many years, sold my last one over a year ago, have been doing a lot of shopping, I have wanted a Fountain for years, I feel this 35 is a great find, really beautiful and mint cond.,plus the engines are awesome, just what I was looking for, I will keep it as nice as Dan has . :USA:

Nice rig! 1st pic in post 4 really "pops" with the tinted windshield covered up. Depending on your preferences may be a future upgrade to liven it up IMHO

Congratulations! You won't be disappointed... I've never seen ANYONE keep a boat as nice as Dan does. Everything he owns is kept just as nice... look at the garage!!

Good luck!

I agree, Dan does keep things spotless, his garage looks great, the 35 is mint cond., here are 2 pics, one at the gas station at 2am.,just as i took this pic a guy comes up behind me to ask for $20, says he is stranded and needs gas, he must also be blind,,can't he see I just spent all my money on a Fountain,I said follow me, took him inside, ask the mgr. to help him, I gave him $10 and said good luck.
The other pic is in my driveway, finally.

We were able to get out for the first time yesterday, my wife is finally feeling good enough to get on the boat, very nice 80 degrees, the Fountain ran great, no problems at all, great ride and handling, we really enjoyed getting back on the water again, the only tricky thing is getting back on the trailer, very strong side wind blowing, once i got the trailer depth in the water set, we were good.

Almost time to get out of storage and fire this thing up again, finally, what a long crappy winter, my wife thinks we need a ladder on the Lightning to get on from in the water,is there a nice one made for my boat.

I think it would be a piece of cake stepping on the tie-bar.

I agree on the tie-bar, I may have to throw her in a few times to get some practice, but in case I need one is there something for a Fountain that is correct & looks nice.

Somebody makes one that folds up under the platform. Don't know who has used one.

I believe Dan always used the tie bar, just be real careful of those blades hang'n just below:ack2:

The only ladder I have seen will bolt on under the swim deck or on top of it.

great boat.....I wouldnt have minded it......you dont need a ladder....put the drives ALL the way down......string a rope across the transom from the two aft cleats (I have a special rope I made up).....swim up.....put one foot on the tie bar....grab the rope and easily pull yourself up....try it twice and its second nature after that....Anyone can do it....all ages.....in the pic Susi is standing on the tie bar...

this looks easy enough, i'll go back to my original plan, throw her in 3 times for practice, she is tall & long legged anyway, should be able to step on easily.
thanks.

Thanks for info. on using the rope tied between the cleats, it works great, really no good place for a ladder anyway, while it was raining everyday in May, I tuned the engines, adjusted the carbs., she is running really sweet now.
