I am going to a bigger scoop on my engine hatch.

The decision was made when I bought a scoop from a drunken redneck at Mopar's at Carlisle.

The scoop was purple and said HEMI on it with some chrysler logos and stuff.

I have sanded primed and painted/cleared it. We bought all new stainless hardware to mount it. I even have a 'nose art' girl decal I had made ready to go on the scoop.

The paint turned out pretty good for having been done by some ukrainian truckers in our garage.

I am going to mount it tomorrow morning. Leaving tomorrow night for a poker run and we have been working frantically to have the boat looking and performing well.

I will post pics, I know Tom said he wanted to see some on another thread.

This one is alot more badassed than the old one.

I am putting the old one on my truck I think just for the hell of it. With the dixie flags and loud pipes I am going to look like a serious redneck but who cares. lol.

Tom, your hatch question is driving me CRAZY... I can picture the scoop in my head, but can't see the colors well enough in my mind to remember what boat it was on... ARRRGH!!! :sifone:

I remembered... Bobbit's skater. The guy used to live down the street from me. You'd think I'd figure it out.

Another opportunity to vote for a hole in a flat hatch with that big huffer pokin' out.

I like that West coast style too BUT, I have kids in the boat often and the idea of a 4" Gilmer drive belt and pulley within reach of a kid scares the hell out of me. I'll try to get a few pics tonight and post them in the other thread of what I did with my hatch.

Lucky buggar. Hundreds have tried and failed many many times to win an elusive poker run victory and you crack it first time at bat.

Well done Adam.

Must be something about Panteras. I won my first one in my 24. 8's over 9's, I think. Congrats.

The whole boat looks great! Nice attention to detail. At first I missed the eyes, but then as I stared at it, I got to like it without them.

To me in the last pic it seems to follow the contour of the bolster tops really well .... flows nicely.
