Been awhile. Sweet looking piece.

Does the SS have the standup head , or was that the SE?

I know they're both nice rides......

Hmmmm ... not sure the difference ... Mine doesnt have a Porta potty. Its a build in head.

Now speaking of built in head ... Mine doesnt flush. There seems to be a button you push which is connected to a soloniod. Didnt work cause the fuse was blown. Put in another 30 amp fuse and it popped it as soon as I hit the button.

Is this a bad motor on the pump? Where is this pump at and What kind of project am I looking at for this?

Also, What kind of system is this and are there any diagrams of how it works?

Thanks!

See if you are able to unplug/unhook the motor, then try flushing again. If the fuse does not pop problem found.

I'm not quite sure where the motor is though.

show us a pic of the head.

most have a switch that you can push up or down. Pushing UP will run both the water pump that rinses the bowl and the pump on the bottom of the toilet itself. Down will just activate the pump on the bottom of the toilet. Try another fuse and just use the Down button. IF the fuse blows again you have a problem with the toilet pump, not the rinse pump.

you can unbolt the toilet to get to the bottom pump. when I bought my boat it did the same thing as you describe. there ended up being something jammed in the bottom pump keeping it from spinning and it would pop the fuse. I unjammed it and all worked fine.

Here is a pic of my head. dont have a pic of the switch though.

Anyone know model numbers of the Port and starboard running lights? My starboard side is missing and the Port one is Chrome. I've seen the same ones on other Sonics in White which is what I'd like to get. My port one just says Attwood A-16.

Dude! Sweet!

So what are you doing for power? I'm too lazy to read through all the posts. LOL. I am re-powering right now and they should be pretty mean. Just curious what others are doing to their Sonics.

I dropped off the 454 Block, Heads, Crank, Rods etc to the Machine shop on Monday. I'm waiting to hear back from them after they are dipped. I should know more tomorrow about their condition.

I'm thinking 8.5:1 Roller Motors Naturally Asperated for now.

Why so low on compression? You thinking about superchargers in the future? I am building some N/A 540's with cnc'd AFR's and huge hyd rollers.

Yep :) I'd like to build some 540's but my budget doesnt allow it at this time. I'm already strechin with full Roller. Them damn lifters are expensive!

Check to see if there are LED options, much brighter and longer lasting. It is a good upgrade for her.

I went to LED's in the cabin also, they use so much less power. Nice Boat. Doug

Yeah ... I'm thinking about going with LED's in the cabin too .. Need a Starboard Housing for the running lights though. Then possibly replace the standard bulbs with LED's

How bout finish paying for it Matt? I gave this boat away and still got ripped!!

djmadmatt
01-25-2010, 12:46 PM
You must be ****ing High Johnny. You didn't give **** away. I held back like $1000 cause there was no trailer title and the one motor that was in the boat that was together that you said had 10 hours on it. It was completely grenaded with pistons blown apart and sat with water in all the cylinders for 3 years of and the drive that was on that side is junk too. Big surprise there. Oh and the one crank you sent up, cast and not forged. Heads were all cracked. Engine blocks were rotted out. All the trim pumps were junk. MSD Boxes, Junk, One carb was in 20 pieces in a box. Do I really still need to go on?

Don't bull**** a buyer when selling online. You have no reason to be pissed at all. I bought an abortion. That wasn't what it was "supposed" to be.

Sorry Ratickle. Not what I was expecting to see posted when I woke up this morning. Nothing like getting snowed and you not slamming the guy that snowed you when it happened. Then 6 months out of the blue, the old owner see's new pics and the 10's of thousands of dollars you sank into it and says something ignorant and ridiculous. I learned my lesson. Attack as soon as you get snowed.

I got it in the water right after Labor day Last year. I haven't put it in the water this year as of yet because I'm changing the cams to roller and different oil pumps. Ran out of money last year because everything needed replaced. Flat tappet was all that was in the budget.

Just got the new cams, lifters, timing chain covers and springs Friday. So, hopefully this week, I'll pull the motors back out and change the cams and oil pumps. Oh and put on a new drive I got this spring because one was borrowed.

Yeah .. I definitely need bigger ones. Those were makeshift for a water test. Clearance is a problem though so, I think I'm gonna cut the hatch and glass in scoops.

Dont glass scoops, just cut the hatch along the sides and make it higher all the way...maybe 2-3 inches is all u need.

or get a huge diameter Gaffrig flame arestor..call jim there and tell him i send u !

they come in 3 inch hight but suck a lot more air the these on there !!!:cheers2:

djmadmatt

I have (2) 3" Gaffrig's but one is for a Dominator. I need one more of the 4150 size.
