I'll take a Cabo 48 Fly Bridge over that ANY day. Even if it does only 40 kts. I couldn't even imagine the fuel costs or the re-sale..... Dave

I suppose if you got sneak attacked by that you could just shake your head and laugh.

The only way that is gonna be a cat killer is by running 'em over. :boxing_smiley:

There's been a couple of diesel powered ones around here. Pretty impressive. Things are intimidating when they're running.

The latest version were in 06-07 Trip Yanmars 485hp and Arneson asd-8's..Latest were replaced with the Cummins same hp, less smoke, and about 1-2 mph slower..That looked like an Arneson Rooster:sifone:

I thought it was cool too............ Would like to see a magazine comparison of that 48 EC vs. the 49 Grand Sport.

2 different animals..The Fountain has a larger beam...Down below is massive compared to the 49 Cig. There is actually less room in the 49 Cig cabin compared to my 43 Nor-tech. The beam is very nice in the Cig compared to other powerboats. The new fairing was nicely done at the show, impressive...but how do you get to the cleats on the side?????just a few observations. Quality is better also on the Cig. vs the Fountain. Both were priced about the same, difference being there is a third cummins in the Fountain.

Is there a site called "serious express cruisers?"

This should be on their first page.

i have a 38 ec with twin 496ho motor's and it will run 60 to 62 mph top end .

the best part is you can cruise at 40 to 48 mph all day long if you want and not kill the motor's or your gas bill :)
