Great time was had by all. Some cool boats. Had some breakdowns. Erie was sort of sloppy in the morning, but was a little flatter in the afternoon.

A 36 Apache, an Outerlimits, and a Fountain. Brace Yourself's 46 Rough Rider "American Muscle"

Whoops, Chris got in my shot. :D

The yellow Baja was a cool boat. Adam did an awesome job on it. Twin 377s and awesome workmanship. Thanks for the ride on that boat. Great balance, great performance. I never had anything against Baja, but this boat was freaking impressive. And that was after spending the day on The Chief.

The silver 36 Cig was jaw-droppingly amazing. I couldn't stop watching it. We talked about it while we were milling before the run and wonder how fast with all that weight. We had our answer when we were well into the run and the only two boats in our little group were the 36 Apache and the 36 Cig. Too bad that the Boatpix chopper didn't roll video on those three boats running together in the slop. A 41 Apache, a 36 Apache and a 36 Cig. We stayed together for miles.

Check out these two pics. In the first, this Hustler is in the front, in the corner and bow in. He had 38 feet of boat and 38 feet 1 inch to work with and he did it. Second pic.... no problem. Afterward, he turned to the crowd and raised his arms and the crowd cheered. :D

This guy had a little Captain in him, I think. I am sorry that I don't have a photo with me and this fantastic boat. Yellow windshield. We didn't see Big Bird anywhere, but we were watching in case he came back. :)

I never knew that Fountain made a boat with the deck from a sonic or a coyote, but there it is. :)

Then, back in the parking lot of Lyman Harbor I found that someone had left some boxes in my trunk. Imagine my surprise when I found that they were AFR heads with Inconnel valves done by Marine Kinetics just for me!! And custom ground split-duration cams, too? Wow. THAT is a great day.

Here is Blue Moon (36 Apache) from the cockpit of The Chief (41 Apache) over Skipper Rob's shoulder. Rob did a heck of a job. Of course, he had me and Sunkin standing behind him giving him moral support. Chris was sharing tips on throttle work and I was taking notes. Rob works his azz off running that boat and staying on top of driving, trimming and throttling all in big water and random waves. Can't get a rythm going in Lake Erie like you can blue water, so it is harder than people sometimes think. I hope to do as well with the 28. I watched and listened. Would ride with Rob anytime.

What did Betty Cook say? Something like "F that lake, that beyotch" or something like that. She vowed never to return to that lake, and she never did.

I'm glad that everybody had a good time. Talk about utter chaos. 32 boats started 10 broke. I cant say enough good things about everybody who was involved. We had an miscommunication at the Jackelope that was handled "yesterday". As always Ted, Jon, Adam, Marcus, Michelle and the rest of the Casino crew were on top of things. I was with Scott when we lost a drive 2 mi. out of Lorain and idled the whole way back while Ironman did a 30mile tour of the lake trying to find us in his duckboat to make sure we had enough rum and ice.

There was plenty of Serious shirts being worn, we adressed the wardrobe issue of the winner, he was on cloud 9 for most of the evening. Who wouldnt be for walking away with 3k.

Yep and Scott got a call from Dave on Sunday and he heard bang bang bang in the motor he fixed. They think it's a rocker valve? I can't remember exactly.

We saw Clifford yesterday!! And will see her again Thursday.

Kramer thinks it may be a rocker stud... let's hope it is that easy to fix and it did not drop a valve..

They have this new thing in the WalMart photo department. It lets you print out a mental image. Kinda' like a scanner.

I have taken film to be developed at walmart, and picked up an envelope with negatives and a note that said "it's walmarts policy to not print pictures that do not reflect community standards"

Chris

If the clentele of our local WalMart is reflective of their community standards, I should be able to get pics of snuff porn developed.

They need a sign on the door that reads "No shirt, no shoes... No surprise".

Yea, I had other duties to attend to. I wish I could have stayed. I would have loved to piz off the local law enforcement yet again. Ted has never said anything, I think he is typically back at home and fast asleep by the time we get around to cranking the tunes. Barney and Roscoe though.....they just love that yellow boat! It gives them some excitement in their shift.

A guy bought a bunch of shots. I don't know what was in them, but I know that I was handed several. It is rude to refuse. :D Notice the Serious Offshore apparel.
There is a shirt from some other forum on the chair. ;)

Hi everyone I had a great time and drank way too much and I normally don't do shot but there was this whole tray we had to get rid of. I will be back and try to stay soberer so I can remember all the great people I met .
