I,m looking for a cross reference # to this discontinued Fram Filter #PCS5062M. This filter is 6" long. I've already checked w/ Teague, Eddie Marine @ NAPA and they have all crossed the # to filters that are anywhere from 7.25" to 8" long. As you can see, any longer than 6" and it's hitting the stringer. I really don't want to have to relocate the assemblies. Any suggestions are appreciated.

the quicksilver one is only 4-5 inches long and works great.

I believe the problem here besides length is the thread dia & pitch. He has tried most of them. The mount is from Eddie Marine and the filter it was made for has been discontinued.

Thanks everyone. Problem solved. (I think, as long as they show up at my door.) ordered the exact Fram model from boatfix.com.

Are those Teague mounts? I the Teague mounts and have Napa filters on mine and I think they're no longer than 6 inches with a petcock on the bottom. Can't rememeber the number right now but I can find out if need be....

If you get a chance please let me know the part #. I ordered from boatfix.com only to find out they too are out of stock with no replacement available. It seems like someone would have the 6" version. Who knows? Thanks

Cross it to a Wix. You'll be happy with the quality.

That's what used to be on my boat and I have the KE unit. I've been using the Wix replacement that has the drains on the bottom. If you need the number, I'll look at the spare pair when I get home.

I can't believe I cannot find the damn thing anywhere. G36 The NAPA 3123 was close, but the threads were different. Took them back and the guy said it needed a 1-14 thread ??? Old School, give me a number and I'll check that out. Thanks all.

It's pouring down rain right now here. I'll walk down to my boat when it stops and get the numbers for you.

Dan,
Sorry about taking so long to respond, but I have bad news. The WIX filter # that I switched to is WIX 33418. The problem is that it's about 7.5 inches long + the petcock on the bottom of it. Too long for sure for your application. Sorry about the mis-info.

Thank you BenPerfected!! If I ever meet you the drinks are on me. (I just might someday as my brother is moving to Dallas soon). This has been a real headache to replace. I've tried Teague, Eddie, Boatfix.com, Napa, Autozone, AC Delco and some suggestions from other helpful folks on this board, anyway your solution has worked! Thanks again and thanks to all who tried to help.
