I love the seperate exhaust dump. (huh, huh, i said dump) -that's for you sean.
Tom, I still can't what you've done w/ this boat!!!

thanks guys.
The water dump on the transom is from the chiller. I still need to tap some threads in the fitting and play with inserts to restrict water so I can get the chiller pressure correct. Need to replace a fitting on the oil pump that keeps dripping and some other odds and ends. I will feel great once everything is buttoned up and "cleaned".

Tom that thing sounds awesome.

Do you really not think that you will be able to make it to the River Rally?

Chris, I can't do squat about an outdrive until I sell some property.
Believe me, I'm hating it.:beatdeadhorse5: I have taken a vow not to buy with out cash.

Does that mean you've finally made a decision (that doesn't involve fiberglass)?

I've got a drive you can borrow if you promise to turn the boost down to about -10 psi :D

funny stuff!

I'm going with the scx drive. I already mounted up the HP imco gimble assmy. I purchased the assy with the "helmet" for the scx. no trans and a bolt up application.
The boost is only at 5

tom that motor is awesome.

my bilge is downright shameful in comparison as far as cleanliness.

I will have many questions next winter when I rebuild my motor and redo my bilge!!!

Wonderful job.

Hey Tom. Got your message. I'll give you a shout tomorrow. I really dig that external oil pump deal. I had a dry sump belt come off my race car the second time I had it out... total heart attack. I had a very bright idiot light in the dash panel though, so I shut her down as soon as I chucked the belt.

What oil pan are you running?

tomcei

I was just considering a low pressure sw. I'm also told that the pumps are very reliable.

I've been flying under the radar for a while.
triple digits aren't expected, actually top speed isn't my goal. Cruse and acceleration is what I prefer.

I'd be happy with high 80's or maybe low 90's if I nail a good combo.
still need the scx drive though. :(

Well with 900+hp I think you'll "cruising" at 90! :D

I just got an SCX / SC hybrid delivered friday. It was at IMCO's suggestion because the foot on the SCX drive could have some handling issues at high speeds.

I am seriously hoping it holds up to 900hp because its no cheap sucker.

I didn't know that was an option or possible? what is the hybrid?
NOT cheap is right.
Please let us know how it does for you. They (imco) said it should hold me fine.

Sean, still lurking just not too much to show off right now.

Blackhawk, not gonna cross my fingers on any numbers yet, 80 is still pretty fast to me.

Hey Tom, planning to do any bottom blueprinting/trueing while you're setting it up to maximize what she will give you with that much power?

Hey Mike, I did that when I pulled the mtr the last time. Straighten out the last 6+ feet. Talked to Jo before I did anything. I used the same shop that regelled the boat for me a couple yrs ago.
They said it's dead nuts on now. I can't wait to get this beast finished.
This will be the 2nd season it has been in my shop and not run.:ack2:
I just keep tweaking on it until the money tree sprouts out back

.

The use an SCX upper and mate it to a modified SC lower.

I hope to be finally wet in two weeks after 2 and a 1/2 missed summers so we'll see how it does.

Its going behind a sc/efi 900

sweet hardware!!
Did you have any problems with the hyd. rams bolting up to the ears on the back of the drive. I assume you had a bracket on a bravo before.

Airpacker
07-08-2009, 10:06 PM
Imco steering, imco drive. Bolted right on. Actually, I was running a black hawk before the scx. It used a wing plate mounted on longer drive mount studs. Before that was a Bravo with an Imco rear cap . I swapped drives due to large HP jump this spring.

Apparently, Imco has a few different back caps for different steering set ups. They wanted to know what steering I had before assembling the drive.
