Very pleased with my paint job. PPG base / clear over epoxy primer. He filled SEVERAL holes that I didn`t need. Painted cockpit and windshield frames. Took 8 weeks though ....

Hey is that your old boat ? I saw it online and used it as inspiration and to show the wife how much better it would look.

I am planning graphics soon.

Really you think so?? Does not sound that quick to me. Also due to his thread on Speedwake not to him either! Boat looks great!

Is that a model? ;)

It's hard to imagine $1750 covering materials, supplies and consumables.

Definitely a nice price. Like Chris said Mat'l is so freaking high now days, the guy must work for free. I figure it is gonna cost me more than that to paint my boat and I will be doing it myself. How does it look in person, and what did he spray it with?

You spend that much on a car single color buying the Paint.

The painter WAY underestimated the job. He used 2 gallons of primer, 2 1/2 gallons color and 2 gallons clear. He says he figures he made about $2 / hour to do this job. His brother is a rep for PPG, so maybe, just maybe some materials were for "demo" purposes ... :)

Boat looks good!
I need to get mine done soon.
I still have a lot of prep work that I want to do.

What did he use?
Just wondering how it's going to hold up - and I don't mean that to be negative.
I yanked my entire windshield, and removed glass, and planning on PC for all aluminum hardware on the boat.
I don't want to have to do it again in 2-3 years.

DonMan, thats my old boat. When I got it had bottom paint and gel graphics on the sides that I didnt care for. My brother and I stipped, sanded, masked and painted the bottom and sides. Here is a few more pics.

A friend of mine paints, along with everything else on boats, and the hours it takes to prep and finish a paint job is crazy. He is also a one man show which probably explains alot.

Nice. Thinking about repainting my 24. Anyone seen graphics like mine before? Should I leave them?

Any one looking for a blower hatch. My 24x7 python has undergone an engine swap and no more blower, so now I have the raised hatch with a hole in it. I don't want a scoop, just sunpad for the boat ornaments!!! Taking offers or trade for stock hatch. 803-457-3050.

Looks really good and clean. When I had my Formula repainted, I was torn between all white and what I actually went with. Here is a before and after on mine.

Mine ran me $2,000 but I did most prep work and the final wet sand and buff myself.
