I need the racer's opinions for planning the NJ OFFSHORE GRAND PRIX held off of Point Pleasant Beach, NJ.

The question has come up about the Boat Parade on Friday night.

Do we keep the parade or eliminate it to save on costs to put on the event ?

Need your thoughts....

What are the cost involved? I thought we did it as a favor to the town to bring some excitement. If you need to cut some expences in order to be able to race in Point I would think that may be a area to start. Everyone loves a parade but to be honest there has not been a great number of spectators in the past few years. If we didnt go threw the car show event it would be sparce.

Permit Fees and Overtime costs for the Cops. Not exactly sure what the exact number is but if it were to make or break the race, then yes, the parade would have to be cut.

Randy - we're def not a favor to the town, as far as they're concerned..more of a hassle to them..it's a struggle every year.

Move the race one inlet up north to Belmar. I like racing where I am wanted.
