Attached is a newspaper article regarding the Northport 200 which later became the Traverse City 200. It's a interesting read especially towards the end in the late 80's where the costs of staging a race back then are mentioned. Also mentions the APBA/SBI split.
I liked the combined short/long course layout they used.

That's awesome. That is the first race I won. Is there list of the boats in each class? I would love to see that.

smokeybandit, that would be a 30 chriscat P-31 PRO-STOCK. Just looking at Northport200 Aug. 25 1985 book. I watched all those races from my boat, was the highlight of my summers.

The 1984 book only has the 1983 rundown, and 83 points. The only P class boat pictured was John's P-111 GALLEON. I did find my 1983 Northport program here it is.
