Friday night, May 29. Waves and weather permitting, I'm gonna be sitting off Northerly Island. I am relatively certain (having seen them twice before) that hearing the show will NOT be a problem.

Not exactly "boating music", but one of my all-time favorites, nonetheless.

First saw NIN in college at Ball State U...Jim Rose Circus (http://www.jimrosecircus.com/) and the fledgling Marilyn Manson opened. It went from a dude lifting cement block with his nipples and a guy balancing a running lawn mower on his chin (with another dude throwing cabbages into the blades) to Marilyn ending the show wearing a thong with a giant dildo attached wrapped in an American flag. And then Nails. I had been a Reznor fan since Pretty Hate Machine. Best concert I've ever seen.

Yeah...with as cold as it's going to be on the water, I doubt I'm in for this one. Probably end up splashing on the river and hitting up Papichulos for a beverage, then putting her back on the trailer.

redhotsommer
05-28-2009, 09:56 AM
Yeah...I'm not planning on running hard by any means...just getting on plane for a bit and making sure all the gauges are working properly...probably be a short trip, like maybe an hour total. I'm worried about all the crap out there as well.

Den - I've got a meeting tonight up at Dave and Buster's off 355...can I swing by afterwards? Probably be around 9:30 or so...

I really don't think there is as much "crap" in the river the few times I have been in there. I am no expert but the times I was in there is was clear

can happen on the big lake or idling out of one of the marinas too. My dad hit a submerge telephone pole on trailer creek in MC many years ago, at idle. Luckily he was close the to the travel lift or that boat would have been at the bottom of the lake. Broke a prop and shaft log! Bottom line boating is a calculated risk no matter where it is done

That's exactly what we're doing. Jeans/jackets/blankets.

I'd probably pass but these two girls

Yeahhhhh so the girls got ****faced at Moe's cantina last night after the cubs game, so I think I will probably be avoiding this potential cluster-**** alltogether.
