Salton Sea Speedweek
The fastest water in the world will play host to the APBA Kilo's on December 5, 6 & 7, 2008 at Salton Sea Recreation Park in North Shore.

The water which is 227 feet below sea level with 1.5 the salinity content of the ocean makes the Salton Sea the "fastest water" in the world. Many world records have been set at the sea over the history of boat racing and this years "Bonneville" style event will see some of the fastest boats in the country if not the world converge on the Salton Sea to try to set or up the speed records!

Hotel reservations may be made at the Fantasy Springs Casino (888)-827-2946 and use group code "Salton Sea Boat Race" to receive the racer rate.

We hope to see you at this historic event!!
Check back for updates.

I don't think my 65 MPH twin engine V-hull is going to break any records so I guess I'll just drive out and watch.

Any updates as to who is showing up for this? I'd make the drive from Vegas if there was going to be some good numbers of fast boats running.

Kilo Schedule

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Kilo Time Trials are done in "rounds". So as boats sign up behind other boats they "get in line" and the boat in front of them can elect to forgo their position in line and move to the back until both of their runs are satisfied (each boat pays for two sets of runs - a set of runs is a two way pass).
So I can't give you a definative time on what will be running as we are starting the Kilo runs on Friday and then again on Saturday and then for the Offshore - First light all three days to dark (unless we get wind or weather).
Should be a good show.
Looking forward to seeing some records fall and new ones established.

Thanks,
Ross Wallach, RPM RACING ENT.

More info:03:

Well, here it is.

If you have a Production Class Boat......................................We have a Class for you.
There will be records set in all of the Classes. The record book starts at this event. Don't miss out on the opportunity to set a record in your class. I am sure that there are some of you who have been holding back from committing to this event. DON"T. We need full participation. Everyone throughout the boat racing world will be interested in WHO RAN and HOW FAST. Don't wait for the results to be posted on the Web. Be there. Let your results do the talkin'. We are actively encouraging manufacturers to get the word out to their customers. Setting a record would be great advertising for a manufacturer. If you know someone with a Production Class boat, bring them out. We need everyones support.

Good Luck to Everyone(except Bob Teague.......Your going down Old Man. In The Red will DOMINATE),

Troy
