Same question I have. I doubt that was factory paint or scoops so who knows.... Months ago I remember seeing an all white boat with scoops but don't remember what happened to it or which boat that was.

I thought I saw pics of that on OSO a while back. It was sitting under a large car port next to a bunch of construction equpt. They were asking then who's it was and if anyone knew it. I would go over there and try to find the thread but I have to work tommarro.:banghead::toetap05:

I talked to the guy that's selling the boat and he said it is a old race boat that was in Brazil. He said it was only raced for a couple of years and was stored in a barn for like 20 years. When he got it, the motors were Lamborghini's. He said they were in bad shape so he replaced them.

Any of you Apach historians know of a boat set-up like this?

I remember a boat with lambos several years (3 or 4) being for sale, not sure if it's the same one.

VB,
All white hull, black transom, with one #6 drive missing, I think? Red Lambo motors and was being sold by Matthew Smith, if we're talkin same boat. I wanted that boat :( :(

Found pics on harddrive ... I think this might be it ...

I love the boat, except for the scoops, but that's going to be a hard one to sell. No cabin and three seats limits it to racers or rich guys doing poker runs.

I wouldn't mind being either one.

No but he told me all the work was done locally. I think he said it was done by a Cuban guy.

For the scoop intakes they cut 4" holes in the race hatches. He said the scoops could be easily removed and the holes plug.

His name is Dave Sawyer (sp). He said his son owned the 45 Apache at one time. Ever here of him?

Based on your other posts, it appears you boozed it up pretty good at the show!

Rob's on his way to Peak-n-Peak to do some skiing today. Today is suppose to be the nicest day in Tampa as far as warmth, so after I finish up eating I'm going to head outdoors and enjoy the afternoon.

No doubt it's better here than there, but bring some long sleeve shirts or a light jacket. Not suppose to see 70 until Friday.

I don't know why all these people want to put the "Pro-Stock" scoops on their boats. Just doesn't go with the antique theme. My .02

Any idea where the pictures were taken earlier this year?

The in water shots were taken at Loggerhead Marina, Riviera Beach FL just inside the Palm Beach inlet across from Singer Island. I have never seen that boat running around. You could swim to Peanut Island from that marina and that yellow Apache would definitely stand out among the fish boats.
