Runs great. Set up is not right yet but has run almost 100 mph with 525's it's crazy. We had the wrong drives and props and ran 89.

Ran nice in the small water that was out on saturday ,sunday on the poker run. I'd guess it was 3's

John brought that boat on a few of the early FMO runs.
This shot is from the '06 Turkey Run... every running shot I have of it- running level on rails.

No gel just epoxy. I think the best rigging on a pleasure model was the one with the Red Dragon logo that Tres did. I think the first was rigged by Lake X.

Tank, what speeds did you see? I wonder if the boat would be faster without the windshield? Less wind resistance?

These boats are beautiful but are they still being build? Last I heard he went to work for Donzi.

It's not mine It's a friend of mine who owns it.

But the seat time is fun.:bump:

Trim pump on the starboard side is a little low. It's pressed down against the hull. I had to replace the trim pump due to a crack in the tank on the pump.

Craig is still building them....I'm not sure if Doug will still be doing the hull...but we were looking at building another race boat with a Doug W canopy and we were talking about Doug build the hull...

Sorry Brad, just saw this thread again.

I don't recall what numbers she posted when I was in it. There were four of us in the boat and we were enjoying the smooth ride (in big lake chop) while drinking Martinis:eek::cheers2:

They dropped me off to get the truck and trailer and took my wife out (big suprise).

If memory serves, the first one was known for running in the upper 90's.

I don't think the lack of a windshield would matter too much. I do believe Craig did some wind tunnel tests with a model prior to build as well. The Dragons I've seen in and ridden in, were absolutley awe inspiring. Beautifully hand crafted works of art.

May be the cleanest engine compartment that I've ever seen!
