Its cold enough that I had to start my car 5 minutes before it was time to leave this morning so the car could warm up and windows defrost. Nice layer of frost on the car this morning. Man do I miss my 3 car garage!!!! Someday I'm gonna have to invest in a remote car starter :rolleyes:

We got an inch of wet snow on the ground, its hanging just around 0 degrees c 32F for you south of the border folks, I pull into the drive thru for a coffee and the friggin window lift on my door lowers the window and then breaks a cable. 30 mile drive via highway with the drivers window all the way down. BRRRRRRRRRR.

I pull into the street where my shop is and lo and behold, cannot get into my parking lot for the 14th time in 7 weeks due to road reconstruction.


I park around the block and walk with my doggies to the shop. Call my gm dealer and he tells me it will only cost me 195 bucks for a new cable but it comes with a lift assembly and a new power window motor. :(

Truthfully, I love doing both. The up side to sledding is running over 100mph for 15 grand and filling up for 40 bucks :)

I'm never ready for it! :( I honestly need to find something that gets me excited about winter. Sleds and skiing isn't it. If we do that, nothing gets done to the boat, not to mention how expensive both sports are. It's bad enough how much money we spend when boating. I usually agree, but since my season was short this year I am not ready to done, I am however looking to save money for next summer!

So .... went over to the old house to make sure nothings frozen yet. Dad was there this morning and shut the water off and emptied the drains so I went over tonight and poured some window washing fluid in the drains and toilets .. made sure the furnace was set real low.... anyway ... Im pullin out of the drive and this blue truck almost turned in but of course I was in the way so they turned the other way into the parking lot across from the house ... I was already in motion pulling out so I pulled in mom and dads driveway and they went past so I followed them but its dark and raining so I didnt get the license plate but I do know where they went and I wasnt following them to that neighborhood after dark ... However, I did call a friend and we are gonna go by there in HER vehicle .. not quite as noticeable as mine. This same truck has been spotted in my driveway twice before but both times the people that saw them said they looked like they were supposed to be there so they figured I was having something done or it was somebody I knew .... you now ... there in the middle of the day, parked in the middle of the driveway ... not trying to hide. The house is empty and its locked up but it would still be a pita if they tried to strip the place or something. Looks like I'll be talkin to a friend at the cop shop tomorrow after I get the plate number :boxing_smiley:

Keep an eye on your house. Theives are looking to strip houses of copper wiring and plumbing lines these days. Phucking losers.

Believe you me I know. I'm a title agent and one of my best customers has tons of rental properties. They have pretty much gotten out of one of the neighboring towns due to that problem. Houses have been stripped of all the normal theiving things along with carpet, toilets, light fixtures, cabinets and trim. They'd fix a place up, go back the next day and the stuff would be gone. Do it again and same thing ... People amaze me ...

Long answer: We are leavin Friday morning and headin south. Stayin at a friends place in Atlanta Friday night then drivin to Tampa to go to a Halloween party Saturday night then headin to KW on Sunday. We will leave there the following Monday ... Im supposed to be in continuing education on Tuesday :D Not planning on making it tho :ack2:
