Just wanted to post the date for this year's rally. I'm sure John will be posting more details soon but I'll get the date out for him. July 11th (weekend after the 4th). The run is a charity fund raiser and it's always a good time. This will be my 4th year!:biggrinjester:

I'm proud of Duke! He's passing on the wedding for the Run!!! This year's run is in memory of Josh, a friend who had participated in the run every year that we lost about a month ago. It's a great event, hope we see you there!

No american can pass up a charity event, for a cousin's wedding!! Atleast thats how I pitched it to my family!

Although, I left out the part about the charity event including bad azz boats, an awesome boat ride into Downtown Knoxville, and the great party at Calhoun's! Not to mention quite a few beers!

What they don't know, won't hurt them!:26:

Only a few weeks left. John has made a few changes to the run this year and I think it will be the best one yet. Several people at the Kentucky Lake run said they were coming If you haven't yet, put July 11th on the calendar for a trip to Knoxville.

Isn't there a law about having a wedding during poker run season?

Hey Hilltop,

How many boats do you get at this run? How far do you run on the river?

I have never boated on the Tennessee river, what type of boat is popular at your rally.

Hey Morgan,

The number of boats has varied over the last few years but it's typically in the 50-60 boat range. The run has been about 100mi total in the past, it may be a little shorter this year as the course is being changed a bit.

It's beautiful down on the river and Tellico Lake. You will see everythigng from 20' sport boats to 40'+ Cats and V-Bottoms. Albert Haynesworth is usually there and I'm hoping he'll be there with his new MTI "Hell Raiser", it's incredibe!! The run is a very laid back atmosphere and fun for all. There is a Calhoun's at Ft. Loudon Marina where the run is based out of and it's got a big deck with Tiki bar where everone hangs out Friday and Saturday nights. Come check it out!:driving:

Hey Morgan,

Albert Haynesworth is usually there and I'm hoping he'll be there with his new MTI "Hell Raiser", it's incredibe!!

Rumor has it that he just picked up a new 75ft Lazarra. I have not seen the yacht, but multiple people are saying he was out last weekend burning some serious fuel in this bad boy.

He was making wake for me to jump :D

jk

I did see him out the Saturday before fathers day.

Sean, you remember where we put in and went down river toward the dam? We were pulling up to the dock and heard him. About 3 minutes later we saw him. And I thought the Corndog was loud...

There is a group of us coming up from Chattanooga for this run. We will have 2 35' Fountain Lightnings, a 25' Baja Outlaw, a 26' Scarab, and possibly a 42' Lightning as well. We are looking forward to the fun time!

Chris, I don't know you but I'm a pretty generous guy. I have one seat open on my 35 Lightning. If you want to go send me a PM and I will give you my number and you are more than welcome to ride with me. We are just making a day out of it on Saturday. Driving up at 7:00AM, get there around 9am, do the run, tie up for a bit to party (I have my younger brother as the DD after I have a few drinks LOL) , and head back around 10pm. You can never have too many friends in this hobby. Beer and Vodka my treat! Let me know. Sorry to hear about the boat issues!

Hey, Tom. Get this:
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloads/powertoys/xppowertoys.mspx

Go to the above page. scroll down the page and look on the right side for "Image Resizer", and download it. Then install it on your computer by double clicking on the exe file that you downloaded. Just follow the prompts, and you are done. Once installed, go to the folder that you have your pictures in. Select which ever ones you want to resize 1 or a zillion. Then right click on the selected files, and a menu will come up. Select "resize" and then chose the size you want (1024 x 768). and click okay. the software will make resized copies of every selected picture.

(The above was copied from the BF website)

What I usually do is make a folder named SM in the one that has the large pictures in it. I put a copy of the large pictures in there and resize them turning on the advanced option that says "Resize the original pictures (don't create copies)". That way you have the SMall ones in one folder when you go to post them.

This was your first poker run? Hopefully next year it will run downtown. You also need to get over to Lake Hartwell, it's even more laid back than ours.
