Thinking of valve float :ack2: Don't know why since the springs are mounted with the correct height and all but I have only 135 in spring pressure... Since we're dry-humping other people's boats here, I'll say that the black F2 boat is easily one of my all time favorite boats (along with Warpath, Lick This, Thuraya, Jesse James and the Systems Cougars in no particular order).

Great old school boat you've got there.

nice ride
Bob, me and Sean are gonna keep hammering on you, you belong in a Pantera.
You just fit the familia so well, we have to get you into a Pantera.
Hmmm... a Bobcat, and a Panther, seems like a natural progression of evolution.
Be expecting a call on Friday.

I miss my boat, could be the fastest/baddest 28 Pantera to date. I do not recall anyone reaching speeds over 100. The Mig28 reached 102 in the Miami intercoastal water way in 2007.
Dont try this at home it is very dangerous, I`m a trained stupid pro/racer.

The worlds greatest camera phone back in action...

Saw this last weekend at Pelican Island (drive up boat bar in Huntington Harbour)... Interesting boat. Owner said it was a 91 that he bought without a drive and a blown up big block. Single 150 Yammy now on sort of an odd looking movable bracket. He said it runs 42mph (go RICK!)... Oh yah, and the entire deck and cockpit had been sprayed with bedliner and painted.

Better shot of the "Long Beach Pantera"...

I believe there were 3 24' Panteras on the loose in LB this weekend. Me, this dude and the 24 SE that ran the ski race. Didn't get a chance to chat with anyone, but still a kick to see some sister boats on the water.

That's moving pretty good for 150hp. I had a 2000 Caravelle 176 with a 130hp 4cyl that didn't run anywhere close to that and I had to slow down on the weekends for any wake larger than a jet-ski.

I can PUSH mine to 59(maybe even break 60 if I run light on fuel etc, that was done with 3/4 fuel, 2 people and a full cooler) with a bone stock 225 fishin' merc with like 1000 hours on it:driving:, but the handling is terrible with that prop(I didnt really have much control:reddevil:). I CHOOSE to run my favorite 23 mirage, and run 55 at 5000 rpm with GREAT handling(grab a beer from the cooler in the back seat while running down the ICW at 55:sifone:), may get the same prop in a 21 to bring the RPM's up a bit.

:smash: New kid on this block... Bobcat suggested I put up a couple shots of our 28. We just got it last season, put 45 hours on it and met alot of great people. Still learning the hull's characteristics compared to our other boat, but it's very forgiving and predictable.

Hope to be running some new Events this coming Season and making new friends.

Anyone have any more pics of the blue boat?

I did a run with him this year, same one Danny was talking about with about 30+ boats, with a heli following us. I'll see if I can dig up the thread with the heli pics. He is "Craney" over on....hmm better not say it :)

:driving:Yep... I really like how the whole scheme looks, great lines and classic offshore lines, the Blue Paint and White Graphics just work so well, and it's very different so you're not likely to mistake it for another boat.

Craney, I hope we can run some runs this Summer, I was having some issues that run and missed out on doing all the Reindeer Games... my loss for sure. Alot of incredible pics came out of that run from.

:cheers2: Gary D owns it now - out of New Jersey, met up with him and Jdub last Season and they both are now good friends. Super nice Family, I had a really fun time with them on our weekend for the Fall Hudson River Run.

Not sure on the boats history, I know it came outta the South, he is still getting it all dialed in, they got it late in the Season last year.

thats my favorite flag paint, love the lines. It was originally Von Bongos boat i believe and first boat Pantera did with the deeper foot wells and a few other things. It was fun following the build. NICE!

Here are some pics of her for you guys. The wife and i love the boat had our share of problems with it this year. Hopefully we can get them straightened out, working on that now... Not sure if Johnsons crew chief owned it as far as i know the first owner lived in LOTO, and then cattitude bought it and had the motor built for it, which i am dealing with now, lol. If there wasn't anything to work out on a boat it wouldn't be boating...

The boat looks great! Thanks man, yeah all you have to do is keep a positive additude. Getting ready to send her in for a leak down test on the motor hopefully all goes well. Some other problems we had were, the intercooler cracked and was dumping water into the motor. And the whipple was dumping atomized fuel into the engine compartment. Had to pull the whipple off and get all that fixed. But all of that is good to go now. The only problem i am having now is when i get running up to 5,000 rpm's the motor sounds like it hitting the rev limiter. So i think it is the computer, but getting the motor checked to be safe. Besides all that it runs great!!!:ack2::ack2::ack2:

Merola's owned that boat forever. As I understand it, it's this boat. Which is how it looked when I worked at Hutinson's across the bay from Aquamania in 1988.

I've always been very fond of the boat as well and it's the reason I own a Pantera (or two) now.

Stormrider, I've always gotten a kick out of the twin vs. single debate. I'd love to drive a single 28 for comparison. We love the ride of our twin big blocks, and think she scoots across the water pretty good :driving:

The killer bee was an awesome ride it was being built at Pantera when I had my 28 Pantera redone by Pepe.
I heard that unfortunately it eventually sunk at a dock....rumor or fact not a 100% sure. But it was sweet, I agree Daredevil about the name.

Here is a pic of the "Bee" and my baby next to it while in progress and then after it was completed after the redo. Damn I miss her.

I'd heard the same story. I remember seeing Bee at auction a year or two ago. But also heard it was bought and re-rigged and is running again. Don't know if that's accurate, but that's what I heard.

Your 28 is on of my very favorites (colors and how it was rigged).
