This was given to me as a gift. Its very cool. The person told me it was an old sales prop for Mec reps back in the day. Is that true? What is it worth? Does anyone out there collect this sort of thing?

Sorry, don't want to sell it I just wanted some info. I collect old tin litho boats and it kinda goes with them. Besides it was a gift.

Both, But mostly plastic, about 6" tall on the orig stand.

There have been various toy OB's and boats that Mercury gave out over the years. If that is an original piece, and I don't know that it is ....or isn't, it is worth whatever someone will pay for it.

I have seen those. Some of them actually ran on a 6v drycell. I used to keep one on my nightstand. They vibrated a lot............
