It came out a little heavy.

I worked on that with Bill and Anglo when it first hit the shop what a monster!! Kind of cool though when Big Al first saw it he was like a kid with a super cool toy..
Changed my whole opinion on drive line set-ups Now up to this point we always tried to keep near zero drive line angle and Always keeping the faces parallel in that boat ,the front motor the long shaft had about 8 degrees or better of angle to the outboard drive unit as it passed beside the rear engine.

That era was a great era in offshore. Had a lot of great people racing. I agree with david, we need more pics, those guys had tons of cool stuff.

When i worked at Skater we built one of the first #40's for Al has anybody have any pics of that .
Oooooo.. The #1 -3 hulls went to us.
#1 went to Dubai, Al got #2 and we got #3.
Al's had the full Linder windshield which explains why they only use a small portion (like 20% of the entire one made) of the screen today. Those thinks were terrible to see through. They sanded that thing down completely and polished it back up and it still was not clear enough to see through.

My buddys got the coolest story. He met Kurt on Als yacht. He said he was the coolest guy, they ate some popeys chicken together then smoked a fatty. This was in Biloxi back around 99.
