Over 100 drag boats bring horsepower and excitement Aug. 11-13 to Lake Marble Falls. The 26th year of Marble Falls LakeFest will feature drag boats racing for three days on the liquid quarter-mile. Top fuel drag boats can reach speeds of 260 mph!

Gates open each day at 7 a.m. and racing begins at 9 a.m. Races typically conclude around 3 p.m. each day, but may change due to weather or other circumstances.

Drag boat racing begins Friday, Aug. 11 with the first and second rounds of qualifying. That evening at 7 p.m. in Johnson Park is the free “Show N’ Shine” meet-and-greet for fans. Teams talk to fans and show off the power of their engines to give spectators an up-close experience with the boats and drivers.

Racing continues Saturday, Aug. 12 and the fun continues once again in Johnson Park with a free concert at 8 p.m.

Sunday’s racing begin at 9 a.m. and the opening ceremonies are at 11 a.m.

Top-fuel finals get underway after the opening ceremonies. The awards ceremony that afternoon with have more than $100,000 in prize money awarded to the top drivers.

Evening events in Johnson Park are free, but tickets are required to view the racing at Lakeside Park in Marble Falls, which can be found at http://www.stubwire.com/events/marblefallslakefest/2017.

Food, drinks, and merchandise are available for purchase at LakeFest. A 9-quart cooler with ice and unopened water and medication is permitted inside the gates. No outside food, drinks, alcohol, pets, skateboards, umbrellas or canopies will be allowed. Security at the gates will check bags and coolers.
