The sixth annual Harry Brinkman Memorial Regatta, featuring races sanctioned by the American Power Boat Association, will be held Saturday and Sunday, June 4 and June 5, at Lake Clare, in Huntington.

Testing starts about 11 a.m. and races begin by noon, continuing until about 6 p.m.

Championship races will be run on Saturday.

Spectators are admitted for free and concessions will be available for purchase at the Huntington Township Fire Department.

This is the 30th year that boat races have been held at Lake Clare. To celebrate the milestone, a reunion for past participants will be held on Saturday.

In addition to racers from around the Midwest, boaters from as far as Atlanta and the East Coast are expected to compete. About 100 boats will race in more than a dozen categories.

Inflatable boats, known as Zodiac boats, which feature two occupants instead of one and tillers rather than steering wheels, will return this year. There will also be an antique race boat show.
