A Nebraska woman was taken to University Hospital in Columbia after the boat she was riding in rolled. The incident occurred Saturday, July 19 around 8:50 p.m. on the 26.5 mile marker of the main channel.

Traci Henry, 44, of Plattsmouth, Neb. was a passenger in a 2014 Outer Limits vessel piloted by Brett Manire, 34, of Osage Beach. As the vessel was accelerating, it rolled to the starboard side. Henry was thrown and hit the gunwale of the starboard side of the boat.

She was taken to Lake Regional, then to University Hospital, for treatment of serious injuries. Another passenger sustained moderate injuries was she was thrown overboard in the incident. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report, the passengers were not wearing safety devices. The pilot was.

Boating Accident Hurts Nebraskans

Two women from near Omaha were injured in a mishap on Lake of the Ozarks.

Two women from near Omaha were injured in a mishap on Lake of the Ozarks.

The Cassgram reports that according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol Report, the incident occurred just before 9pm Saturday in Camden County at mile marker 26.5 in the main channel of the lake.

Traci J. Henry, age 44, of Plattsmouth was injured. The MSHP report said her injuries were serious and she was taken to Lake Regional Hospital and then taken to University Hospital. Terri R. Adams, age 35, of Peru was taken to Lake Regional with moderate injuries.

The report states the 2014 Outer Limits boat was operated by Brett A. Manire of Osage Beach.

The highway patrol says the vessel was attempting to accelerate, then rolled to the starboard side. Adams was ejected overboard and Henry hit the gunwale of the starboard side of the boat. There was no damage to the boat.
