Kieran Ironmonger (Race Technology (http://www.race-technology.com)) will be at the Miami race and we would like to share what we are learning from the data we collect.

Our team has used Race Technology (http://www.race-technology.com) products for over three years now. We have a DL1 unit to log the engine data (via EFI CAN interface), GPS logging, a VIDEO4 unit, and have several DASH displays.

Using this data has enabled our team to improve the performance of both our Vector and our SilverHook race boats quickly and it has identified potential problems with the mechanics of the boat before they occur.

It is super easy and very cool to re-watch the race. Four video cameras are synchronized with the data so you will see exactly where the boat was on the track, what speeds it was achieving, not to mention monitor what was going on with the engine performance and electrical systems.
A few items we monitor:

Which propellers really accelerate the fastest?
Is my boat faster hugging the corners or sweeping the corners?
After the race, did my equipment function as expected?
Why was that corner so wide? What was happening on the course?

Kieran is the Race Technology (http://www.race-technology.com) expert for boats. He has supported all of the P1 (Europe) boats and the Class 1 boats for the past 3 years.

Let us know if you would be interested in seeing a demo of the Race Technology products or contact Kieran (Kieran@race-technology.com)with specific questions he could answer while he is in Miami.

See you this weekend!
